Porsche 718 Boxster S
The 718 Boxster S upgrades to a 2.5-litre turbocharged flat-four with a variable turbine geometry (VTG) turbocharger for 350 hp and 420 Nm. The VTG technology provides a wider, more linear power band — improving both low-end response and high-rpm thrust. Standard sport exhaust, 20-inch wheels, and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV).

Our 2026 Porsche 718 Boxster S Rating
FORPORSCHE RATING: 9/10
Pros
50 additional horsepower transforms the driving experience; better exhaust note than base; sub-4.5s 0-60 mph; sport brake upgrade included; recommended over the base Boxster.
Cons
Premium over base is meaningful; still four-cylinder character at the top of the rev range.
Verdict
The recommended Boxster for most buyers. The extra power genuinely transforms the on-road experience and the stronger exhaust gives more character. Worth the step over the base model.
