Porsche Taycan Turbo GT: Specs, Performance & Review

The Taycan Turbo GT is Porsche’s most extreme electric production car to date — a track-focused flagship built on the facelifted Taycan’s twin-motor platform, with a factory-set production-EV lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Where the regular Turbo and Turbo S trims prioritise comfort alongside performance, the Turbo GT strips weight and sharpens the chassis specifically for repeated hard driving.

Weissach Package

The optional Weissach Package is the track-focused spec: it strips weight (lightweight carbon-fibre elements, reduced sound-deadening, optional lightweight seating), adds the highest overboost output tier, and sharpens the aerodynamic package for high-speed stability. Buyers cross-shopping the Turbo GT specifically for track use should prioritise this option; the standard Turbo GT is still track-capable but tuned slightly more toward everyday usability.

Turbo GT vs Turbo S: Which One?

The Turbo S remains the more comfort-oriented flagship — more standard luxury equipment, a slightly softer damper tune, and a lower price point. The Turbo GT trades some of that comfort for outright lap-time focus: firmer suspension calibration, more aggressive aero, and the overboost mode built around repeated track sessions rather than a single straight-line pull. If your Taycan will mostly see street use with the occasional track day, the Turbo S is the more livable choice; if track lap times are the priority, the Turbo GT is the one Porsche built for that job.
