Porsche 911 Carrera T
The 911 Carrera T (Touring) is the purist’s 911 — a lightweight special model that adds essential performance hardware without increasing engine output. Starting from the base Carrera’s 385 hp engine, the T adds PASM Sport suspension lowered 10 mm, Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), a mechanical LSD, and — crucially — a standard 6-speed manual gearbox. Rear seats are deleted and sound insulation reduced as standard.
Key Specs
- Power: 385 hp
- Transmission: 6-speed manual (standard)
- 0–100 km/h: 4.5 sec (manual)
- Unique Feature: Lightweight focus, no rear seats
Our 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera T Rating
FORPORSCHE RATING: 9/10
Pros
Lightweight focus removes rear seats and adds lighter glass for the lowest Carrera weight; standard manual gearbox; sport exhaust standard; pure analogue driving experience without added complexity.
Cons
Manual-only limits buyer pool; stiffer suspension on rough roads; no rear seats reduces everyday flexibility.
Verdict
The enthusiast 911. Lighter, more connected, and manual-gearbox standard — the T is the purist choice for drivers who want maximum feedback and minimum distraction. An increasingly rare thing.
